“The Globe’s (and wider media’s) response to this is telling and a serious wake-up call.
If we discovered the same poor level of scrutiny went into the ingredients of a food product, many of us would stop eating it. If we observed the same lack of responsiveness once the problem was identified, the food product would be thrown from shelves everywhere.
The same public reaction is required here. We need to ask ourselves what quality of content are we really consuming today?”
